After a beautiful two and half hour drive along the coast of CA and Mexico we arrived in Ensenada, Mexico. There sat the MV Explorer- finally the day had come to board! After a debriefing with the doctor, I was finally allowed on the ship. I was directed to the third deck, port side (left side of the ship) where I met my roommate Victoria Chow. She is from Hong Kong but goes to school at Berkley. She is a media studies major and loves photography. After this trip she will have visited over 40 countries! I now have a personal tour guide!

Packed and ready, Kandee and I headed off to San Diego. Friday night we ate dinner down by the bay and enjoyed the nice weather. Saturday we visited SeaWorld and saw Shamu! After a long night, I finally made it to the shuttle thanks to Kandee and her expertise. With a quick hug and picture, Kandee sent me off. We were both in such a whirlwind of chaos I don’t think we even really realized what had just happened.
